These planter boxes are made of pine that has been sealed against moisture and rot with a two pot epoxy. A plastic pot sits on an internal ledge and the top rail, drainage is from a hole positioned at a lower level of the pot into a saucer that has an overflow to ensure that all the water is diverted away from the timber.  Each box is painted with four primer coats and three coats of an acrylic enamel paint
